KISS earned two Guinness World Records for forming the largest human sentence “We Urge for World Peace” and the Most Simultaneous High-Fives in the longest human chain covering 30kms in Bhubaneswar in 2015

In 2016, KISS associated with the United Nations Department of Public Information (UNDPI).

In 2016, KISS was listed 223rd among the top 500 NGOs of the world and the 10 best NGOs of India in the prestigious world rankings curated by NGO Advisor.

In 2016, KISS received recognition from the World Children’s Prize for Child Rights.

KISS was declared a Deemed University in the De-Novo Category under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 in August 2017, making it the world’s first exclusively tribal university. Accordingly, KISS Deemed University introduced seven innovative departments to provide impetus to research on tribal studies.

Dr Achyuta Samanta was conferred with the National Award for the Welfare of Children by His Excellency Shri Ram Nath Kovind, the Hon’ble President of India.

KISS won the prestigious 18th Energy Globe Award at the Presidential Palace in Tehran.

KISS Student became the youngest recipient of the year’s National Bravery Award, receiving it from the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

KISS was mentioned in two popular Anthropology textbooks ‘Window on Humanity – A Concise Introduction to Anthropology’ and ‘Mirror for Humanity – A Concise Introduction to Anthropology’ used in classes on Introductory Anthropology and Cultural Anthropology in the USA.

KISS, in collaboration with British Council, organised the biggest Commonwealth Big Lunch, bringing in Commonwealth High Commissioners, Representatives from High Commissions, Delegates from British Council and 30,000 Indigenous Children from KISS, on 23rd March 2018

India’s first-ever FIFA Football for School programme was launched at KISS Bhubaneswar. F4S is an ambitious worldwide programme run by FIFA to contribute to the education, development and empowerment of around 700 million children. KISS becomes Knowledge and Logistical Hub of FIFA’s ‘Football for School’ Initiative on 19th May 2022
